Tasting Notes:

Our inaugural Rosé, crafted exclusively from our estate-grown Pocai Vineyard in Calistoga, is a true expression of vibrancy and elegance. It pours a delicate light salmon hue with a pale, radiant glow. On the nose, fresh aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and plum mingle with hints of violet, evoking the essence of spring. The palate is bright and refreshing, with crisp acidity that enhances flavors of raspberry, grapefruit, and rose water. Subtle mineral undertones add depth, while notes of lemon verbena and orange blossom contribute to the wine’s floral complexity. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving a lasting impression of citrus zest and delicate florals. As our first-ever bottled Rosé, this wine marks a special milestone, celebrating both our commitment to quality and the unique character of our estate fruit.

Winemaker Notes:

We harvested some of our best Zinfandel to make this rosé. Made in a traditional method, the grapes were harvested at a lower sugar specifically to make a rosé. The grapes were whole cluster pressed and the juice handled like an aromatic white from that point on. Taking advantage of the natural higher acidity and lower sugar make this rosé a highly drinkable and fruit forward glass of wine.
